Home Health Administrator and Director of Professional Services (Dual Role)

Caring Hearts Home Health is a CHAP accredited and Medicare certified home health agency serving Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties. It was established in Pensacola in 2001, and is focused on maintaining the highest standards of quality and compassion in patient care.  Caring Hearts Home Health provides skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and home health aide services to an adult population.
Director of Nursing / Administrator Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Florida
  • Minimum 1 year as a Director, Branch manager or Administrator in a Medicare certified home health agency
  • Proven leadership and customer service skills
  • OASIS expertise
  • Excellent interpersonal communication abilities, including a high level of competency in both written and verbal communication
  • Entrepreneurial attitude; independently motivated and driven; resourceful
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Sound organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to quickly and comfortably adapt to new technology, specifically agency management software and point-of-care devices

Director of Nursing / Administrator Duties:

  • Oversees the Performance Improvement/Quality Assurance programs, including clinical documentation audits; HHVBP optimization; and, quarterly analysis of: OASIS-based quality and process reports, patient satisfaction surveys, grievance logs, sentinel events, incident reports and infection logs; development and execution of plans of correction resulting from clinical deficiencies
  • Leads the Professional Advisory Committee which oversees the overall operation of the agency including the Quality Assurance program, finances and community relations.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with applicable local, state and federal regulations, Caring Hearts’ policies and procedures, and CHAP accreditation requirements
  • Reviews all OASIS forms prior to export to ensure compliance with CMS reporting standards
  • Collaborates with marketing staff to develop and maintain working relationships with clients, physicians, case managers and community members to facilitate the home care referral process
  • Hires, orients and manages all nursing staff; performs annual evaluations and skills checks; oversees the staff educational programming
  • Provides oversight for all clinical care and for clinical activities like the admission process, service level determination, plan of care development, and the discharge process
  • Coordinates and leads regular interdisciplinary case conferences
